DALE A. HEDRICK Obituary -
Dale A. Hedrick, 85, of Lenoir City, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2014.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, an avid checker player, a member of First Baptist Church of Lenoir City and was retired from the Tennessee Valley Authority.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Nelle James, Peggy Coats and June Reagan.
His survivors include his loving wife of 56 years, Edna Hedrick; daughter and son-in-law, Aileen and Rick Beeler; grandchildren, Katie, Troy and Will Beeler; brothers, Larry Hedrick and wife, Liz, and Ted Hedrick; sisters, Carol Huskey and husband, Rex, Belle Collins and husband, Verlin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Lenoir City, 2085 Simpson Road East, Lenoir City, TN 37772.
The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Atchley’s Smoky Mountain Chapel with the Rev. Dick DeMerchant officiating. Interment will follow in Smoky Mountain Memory Gardens with the Rev. Ted McMahan officiating. American Legion Post 104 will provide military honors. Dale and Edna were regulars at the Tennessee Open and Southern tournaments in Lebanon, TN and a member of ACF and Madisonville Checker Club.
